A personal photography project

PeopleI Meet

When a walk becomes a conversation, I sometimes ask to take a photo. Your photos are always free; sharing them publicly is always a separate choice.

An evolving archive of brief encounters

One place. One moment.Every photo starts with hello.

The idea

A reason to pause, notice someone, and say hello.

● Preview collection. Every photo is marked as a placeholder until publication permission is confirmed.

Stories will live here

The words come later.

When someone separately chooses to take part, their photo can include a first name or chosen display name, a place, a date or season, a short story and an optional quotation. Anonymous stories are welcome too.

Were you photographed?

Your photos are free.

Tell me what is written on your card and anything you remember about where we met. I’ll use it only to identify your photos and send you the files or a private gallery link.

About the project

A camera can be an introduction.

I like walking, meeting people and noticing the characters we often pass without really seeing. If someone is comfortable being photographed, I take a photo, give them a card and offer them a free copy.

Sometimes—with their separate permission—I share the photo and a little of their story here. There is no charge, no obligation and no expectation that anyone must take part publicly.
